How Chiropractic Works
By Dr. Paul Rhodes Teutopolis, IL Chiropractic works by restoring the normal motion and function to the bones of the spine. When the bones are allowed to move in all directions then there is less damage to the bones, muscles and discs. While this is happening the nerves that transmit the signal to and from the brain will work faster and stronger. This means that the person has less pain and the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and all the other organs, muscles, tendons and ligaments in the body work better. Patients have noticed they don’t get sick as often or they recover much faster when they do. They notice better sleep, increased energy, less aches and pains and they are not as crabby or irritable. Women and men who are trying to have children notice it is easier and more successful when they are adjusted and the nerves allow the body to maintain a normal pregnancy. Some patients may require longer care than others because their spinal problems have been present longer. Each chiropractic adjustment helps to break old, bad patterns and replace these with new, good patterns. This allows the spine to make corrections more freely. Chiropractic works by keeping the nerve signal to and from the brain crystal clear so the body can stay as healthy as possible. Chiropractic works for children by keeping their growing spine in line. This allows normal growth with less spinal damage and health problems that have already happened in their parents or grandparents. Every child should be checked for spinal alignment!
